LD Seating is expanding the Arcus task chairs, created by German designer Martin Ballendat. Arcus now includes four conference chair models and an update to the ATS synchronous mechanism, offering greater flexibility and a more refined look to its signature curve.

The new Arcus conference models are designed to complement the existing task chairs while maintaining the collection’s distinctive aesthetic. Each model features the curve at the back of the backrest, a striking design element that also serves as a functional detail for easy chair handling. They are available with a four-legged steel frame, with or without castors, as well as a steel sprung base and a height-adjustable five-star nylon base. To optimise space, all versions except the height-adjustable chair are stackable.

The Arcus task chair has been upgraded with a new ATS synchronous mechanism, featuring a sleeker design that integrates into the curve of the backrest. This update maintains the chair’s lightweight, modern aesthetic while ensuring smooth and intuitive adjustments. The system automatically adapts to the user’s weight, while seat height and the synchronised movement of the seat and backrest can be easily adjusted with a single lever.
