tubeBot & triBot by Kunsthochschule Berlin

tubeBot is an autonomous maintenance robot for urban drinking water piping systems. Through the quick and easy detection of leakages during normal operation, the out-of-time water loss in large cities can be significantly reduced.

triBot is a research robot which collects data for Science and Research in extreme environments such as glaciers and polar regions. In times of climate change these regions move into the focus of global research activities. In order to operate reliably in these areas, highly flexible movement patterns are necessary.

EDTI: European Design Training Incubator

The ‘European Design Training Incubator’ (EDTI) is a new 24-month (Jan 08 - Dec 09) EU network project within the Leonardo da Vinci programme. EDTI covers the whole range of learning focused on professional practice in design.

By benchmarking design education and training in the context of the lifelong learning, the core idea behind EDTI is to establish a common European platform where design-related organisations can audit existing training provision, identify needs and share and coordinate training development and its implementation.

The extensive redesign of the Cologne Cathedral and Cologne Train Station Plaza directly across from the historically protected "Alter Wartesaal" has resulted in the creation of a new room.

The Banana shaped foundation that is built under the new "Freitreppe" with its cylinder shaped, colossal windows makes this new room an optic spectacle and an unusual location. Hans Jörg Przygoda, cologne architect at "pH-129" designed the interior.

multiple choice: sculptural scarfs

multiple choice is a project-based retail venture.

Each project takes on a different form depending on its concept, which can be anything from a place or a function, to a colour or even a texture. In may 2008, multiple choice debuted its first project, "made in hk", which took the form of a month-long guerrilla store in nyc featuring clothing, accessories, and objects by hong kong-based independent labels, with the objective of showing that their innovative designs are a vibrant counterpoint to the negative stereotypes conventionally associated with the "made in hk" label.
