menstruation is still a taboo subject in our culture. But design can give objects a new meaning - what happens when disgust and desire are mixed? when a taboo object suddenly appears as an attractive luxury article? it is a game of associations and cultural codes, a balancing act between preference and perversion that opens up a discourse about how we deal with menstruation but also questions the boundaries of taboo in design.
