Sounds of Silence
For the Van Cleef & Arpels stand at this year’s Biennale des Antiquaires in the Grand Palais, Paris, architect Petra Eichler and artist Susanne Kessler conjured up a lyrical, fairytale world. The Sounds of Silence duo designed four paper cut-out gardens, each one approx. 3m wide, 1.50m deep and 3.50m, as installations showcasing the latest Van Cleef & Arpels designs, embedding the prestigious jewellery range in a delicately detailed narrative context.
