Designers´ Open 2008

In only four years the Designers' Open evolved from a local trade meeting into a discovery-trade fair for national and international young design. In 2007, the festival attracted 10,000 visitors with a multitude of new concepts, projects and products. Every October designers, retailers, producers and, naturally, many interested customers visit Leipzig in order to experience the mixture of communication, culture and shopping in thrilling locations. The main focus is on the areas fashion, product and industrial design, communications design, as well as architecture.

Again this year, the Designers' Open will continue supporting the design industry and communicate the matter in various ways. Thus, the three days in Leipzig provide orientation, inspiration and exchange of knowledge and, most of all, unconsumed ideas of exciting young designers. The best works will be awarded by a top-class jury.
